“Global Economic Exchange: India” is a multi-day event hosted by Newsweek focused on the unique position that India now occupies on the world stage and the critical role it plays in the global economy and in the technology and energy transformations that are reshaping our future. The New Delhi-based summit, planned as an annual high-level event, brings together world leaders, global executives, major institutional investors, thought leaders, and national decision-makers. The focus of the event will be India’s transformation into the world’s third-largest economy.

Speakers will include officials from major offshore banking and investment hubs like Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland, as well as energy leaders representing Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, and other countries poised to play a role in the Indian story.

“Global Economic Exchange: India” will follow four major themes: 

1. Securing the Future: These sessions will bring together foreign ministers, defense industry leaders, diplomats, logistics and supply chain experts and strategic thinkers from around the globe to explore the opportunities created by India’s singular geostrategic stance as a rising power that shares the interests and values of the industrialized West while also championing the Global South.  

2. Investing for Growth: These sessions will convene global asset managers, industry leaders, regulators, and policymakers to highlight the enormous investment opportunities and spectacular returns created by India’s explosive, demographic-driven growth.  

3. Powerhouse Partnerships: This track will feature global CEOs, technology leaders and industry regulators delving into the opportunities to build, buy, or partner as they seek to benefit from India’s transformation over the next decade into the worlds third-largest economy.  

4. Critical Transformations: These sessions will feature CEOs from energy and utility companies, national leaders from oil and gas exporting countries, and leaders in sustainability and technology as they focus on how India, the world’s third-largest energy consumer, will meet its energy needs while managing the transition from fossil fuels to renewables to meet its carbon neutral goals.
